  EM Client
Posted by: Garysixtyseven - 25-01-2023, 07:56 PM - Forum: PressF1 - Replies (4)

I use EM client with both a Gmail account and an Outlook.co.nz account.

Every day it drops the connection several times and usually picks it up again on a refresh, so what is going on here?

Wireless connection using 4G as no other option out here.

Are you a tennis fan? If so please explain
Posted by: Roscoe - 25-01-2023, 12:42 PM - Forum: General Discussion - Replies (3)

I was watching the tennis today while waiting for a visitor to arrive and I noticed after each volley they looked down to the ground and shook their fist and I wondered why they did that. I thought that it may be some sort of tennis ritual but not being a tennis fan I have no idea why they do it, but they do it repeatedly and I wondered if someone could tell me what it was all about.  Huh

Quote:In a seven-hour effort, Ng and his staff mowed a giant message into a field, directly under a flight path to Auckland Airport, writing: ÔÇ£End of an errorÔÇØ.

Taking to social media, Ng posted a video of the process, revealing it took three people seven hours to create, with each letter roughly 40 metres in length.

I'm sure there is an irony somewhere here, investing 21 labour hours in a protest while pleading poverty...

  Add folder to Office 2019
Posted by: Bryan - 24-01-2023, 01:05 PM - Forum: PressF1 - Replies (5)

I have Windows Office 2019 and I use a Gmail email. I have tried to setup a folder in the Personal Folders of Office but without success.

I right clicked on the personal folder and from the dropdown I selected New Folder, renamed it to Sent Items. I then sent a test email to another email address.

The email I have sent appears in the Gmail sent folder. Although I have sent it from Office 2019, it does not appear in the Office sent folder I created.

Obviously I have done something wrong but can't figure out what that is. Any advice please?

  Hiding from Putin's call up
Posted by: Lilith7 - 23-01-2023, 10:45 AM - Forum: News and Current Affairs - Replies (5)

Those Russians who've no wish to become cannon fodder & see no reason for the war against Ukraine have gone into hiding in an effort to avoid the call up. This man's been living in the forest for almost four months.

https://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-64346971

"When Vladimir Putin announced a partial mobilisation of Russian men in September last year, it took Adam Kalinin - not his real name - a week to decide that the best thing he could do was move to the forest.

The IT specialist was against the war from the start, receiving a fine and spending two weeks in detention for sticking a poster saying "No to war" on the wall of his apartment building.

So when Russia said it was calling up 300,000 men to help turn things around in a war it was losing, Kalinin did not want to risk being sent to the front line to kill Ukrainians.

But, unlike hundreds of thousands of others, he did not want to leave the country."

Climate Change - it's nothing new
Posted by: Roscoe - 23-01-2023, 08:36 AM - Forum: General Discussion - Replies (5)

We are led to believe that climate change is a phenomenon of the 21st century but the climate has been changing centuries before today.

Ever since the industrial revolution (from 1760 to about 1840) glaciers throughout the world have been shrinking at an increased rate.   And glaciers make up 70% of our fresh water supply.

So as you can see, climate change has been happening for some time.

I'm certain that you have seen video of large chunks of ice falling off a glacier into the sea. For some strange reason, that is called calving.

Just thought that you would like to know.

Anyone else go?
Dont get me wrong, they still put on a good show, they are great performers, but was expecting to hear a good amount of their no1 hits.
We didnt even get scar tissue, dont stop or otherside, you could really see the crowd get amped up when a good song got going and to top it off the show went for only 1 hour 40mins.
Comparing that to GnR who have a fraction of the albums these guys have and they have us a solid 3 hours!

I was reading that some were happy not to hear the usual "greatest hits" and I get that, there was some new content played, but there was also alot of older content that ive never heard before.
The regulars who go to hear them probably didnt mind, but first time goers like myself would have liked to hear the hits we all come to know and love.
Either way, looking at the comments on stuff, feelings were a bit mixed over it.
Is this typical of RHCP? Its the first time ive been to one of their concerts.

Seems this is part of his greater plan after taking over Twitter to achieve his goal.
I bet Bill gates is not a happy chappy.
