Mark Lundy to remain in prison
Posted by: Lilith7 - 25-05-2023, 04:44 PM - Forum: News and Current Affairs - Replies (10)

This really is a catch 22 situation; unless he confesses they won't release him & he says he can't confess to something he didn't do. You have to wonder how many people are caught in this situation.

https://www.newshub.co.nz/home/new-zeala...bfVTBWWNvU

"Lundy's family declined to comment to Newshub, but a group in support of him, the Factual Team, said they are "extremely disappointed" by the decision.

"For 23 years since tragically losing his family, Mark has vehemently maintained his innocence and suffered the injustice and indignity of false incarceration. Yet Mark has stoically served over 20 years detention with the strength and dignity he was known for in the years prior to his wrongful conviction/s," a spokesperson said.
"Justice Young admitted that denial of guilt is not a requirement for parole approval.

Sir Ron says the parole board canÔÇÖt compile any conditions to protect Lundy and the public, when he wonÔÇÖt admit to the crime, which would help them understand the triggers behind the murders.
"ItÔÇÖs difficult to answer because I cannot tell you the motive for something I didn't do." Lundy responded

The spokesperson said the Factual group were hopeful that police would "properly reopen the case and seriously look for the true offender that is still at large".

"Instead, the police have stuck to their guns, re-imagining a second possibility, and presenting even more flawed circumstantial guesses with no actual facts."

Japan could face a collapse of the auto industry

If they dont get their A into G and get some EV's on the market ASAP.
We may see the market being flooded with Chinese brands. We already are seeing more from China on the market.
I believe Toyota has the largest amount of corporate debt at the moment as they are rushing to switch to electric.
They have got a new CEO who appears to have scrapped their plans for Hydrogen which is a good move.

https://www.stuff.co.nz/national/health/...s-poisoned

"A controversial American doctor who lived in New Zealand has died after claiming he was intentionally poisoned for his views on the pandemic.

Dr Rashid Buttar, an osteopath, was a prominent promoter of conspiracy theories about Covid-19 and vaccines. He died last weekend aged 57.
Buttar was a permanent New Zealand resident who lived in the small, beachside community of Tutukaka in Northland. He returned to his home state of North Carolina in 2020 shortly before the New Zealand borders were closed. He died in the US.

He was one of the earliest public figures to make conspiratorial claims about the coronavirus, which proved to be lucrative: some of his early videos drew millions of views. He made sweeping claims about the origins of the coronavirus, including that it was an engineered bioweapon released as a┬áÔÇ£false flagÔÇØ.
Last week, just days before his death, Buttar claimed to have been intentionally poisoned after an appearance on CNN in 2021.
ÔÇ£I had been poisoned with 200 times the amount of whatÔÇÖs in the vaccinations,ÔÇØ he said".

Even Luxon admitted on a TV interview this morning that it was worrying. This is like giving school kids knives and guns to play with. They have no appreciation of the harm they could be unleashing. And it sounds like Luxon isn't running his party on this content so is ignorant of it, or he's just lying again.

Case in point. What's wrong with this photo?

  Bricked PC?
Posted by: Bryan - 22-05-2023, 05:14 PM - Forum: PressF1 - Replies (27)

I have been building up a PC from 2nd hand parts and have struck a hurdle on the last jump.

I have a Gigabyte B250H D3h m/b. 16Gb RAM. A Crucial SSD. 600w PSU. I was running the system happily enough from a i5 6500 CPU using the M/B HDMI port.

The final straw was adding a EVGA GTX960 GPU. It was running the PC well until I ran Userbenchmark to see how much better the new rig was. The program ran well enough but then I lost all power to the monitor. The fans are running including the CPU and the various lights on the M/B are also lighting up.

However, there is nothing showing on the monitor other than "cable not connected". I have removed the "new" GPU and gone back to the M/B HDMI port after removing the new GPU but alas same result "Cable not connected". I have left the PC for a while now unplugged and on trying again, I still get the same result. I could try the GPU on another backup PC but I am afraid I might get the same result. Any help please?
