Obese man wins a womans beauty pageant
Posted by: C_T_Russell - 17-11-2022, 11:09 AM - Forum: Opinion and Politics - No Replies

You know things are seriously messed up when a man dressed as a woman was not only allowed to enter this, but actually win the prize.
I wonder how the woman felt, and then having to clap at the end. Its quite an insult and a disgrace, but thats the world we are now living in sadly with the woke crowd making this sort of crap acceptable.
If they want it to be fair, hold a transgender pageant instead.

National to 'get tough' on youth crime.

Either they don't understand that it doesn't actually work - or they know but don't care as long as their primitive stance gets them votes. Which would be rather cynical, but then they're politicians.
'Young offenders military academies' fgs. Why would anyone think that teaching kids who've been in trouble the care & use of weapons is in any way a good idea?! Sheer idiocy.
They seem to believe that its all down to a 'lack of discipline' Dodgy

"My message to young offenders is that under National, you will face [the] consequences for your actions.ÔÇØ┬á National would create Young Offender Military Academies where offenders aged 15 to 17 can be sent for up to 12 months
The Academies would ÔÇ£provide discipline, mentoring and intensive rehabilitation to make a decisive intervention in these young offendersÔÇÖ lives. The Academies will be delivered in partnership with the Defence Force, alongside other providersÔÇØ.

A Russian-produced rocket fell on the Polish village of Przewodow, near the Ukrainian border, at 3:40pm (local time), Poland's foreign ministry says.

Should NATO now get involved and invade Russia?

Hi there.
Would love a little help please.

I have a new hair dresser, IÔÇÖve been to her twice. On the morning of┬ámy 3rd appointment she canceled as her Father was in hospice and wasnÔÇÖt expected to make it much longer.
He has since passed away.
I have another appointment tomorrow and would like help with wording a card. I am genuinely┬ásorry for her loss but as I donÔÇÖt know her or her Father at all IÔÇÖm stuck with wording.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

Thanks Smile

Windows 11 not supported on new Ryzen System
Posted by: nzoomed - 14-11-2022, 10:20 AM - Forum: Computing and Technology - Replies (11)

Ive heard a few stories about this happening with others before, but is usually something simple like the TPM or secure boot that needed to be turned on.

I had to update the motherboards BIOS in order for it to support this CPU, which is quite typical for many of these boards with the B550 chipset, but Ive never had any issues in the past with this same hardware configuration, but am using a different model of board this time round. The CPU is a 5600G which ive used before without any issues.
I also had memtest86 giving me errors when testing the memory, but it appears it was just incompatible with my earlier revision of memtest86 as the latest version is giving me a pass.

Another religious nutter - son of Billy.

Just about the last thing needed here; we have no shortage of our own.

A controversial American preacher has defended his views on subjects like abortion and homosexuality ahead of his tour in New Zealand.
Franklin Graham is the son of Billy Graham, an Evangelical preacher who came to New Zealand in the 50s and 60s to preach the word of God to huge crowds of people.
Franklin Graham has followed in his father's footsteps and is here on his God Loves You tour.
The 70-year-old preacher has been criticised for his opinions on things like Islam, abortion and homosexuality.
After 9/11 Graham said Islam was "wicked and evil" and in 2010 he said true Islam could not be practiced in the United States because "you cannot beat your wife or murder your children".

The preacher has also made abundantly clear he does not support homosexuality and considers it a sin.

Graham told Shepherd he doesn't mention LGBTQ+ issues in his preaching but believes God created marriage between heterosexual couples.

"God gave us sex and it's to be used in marriage between a man and a woman, that's what the Bible teaches," Graham said.

When asked if his preachings were culturally up to date, Graham said he didn't want to be.
"I am not trying to be up to date with culture. I am trying to preach a message that is a 2000-year-old message, it doesn't go by culture - it's God's word."

  Taliban at it again
Posted by: Lilith7 - 11-11-2022, 01:02 PM - Forum: News and Current Affairs - No Replies

This time, they've banned Afghan women from parks - presumably in case they might have a moment's enjoyment. What a bunch of evil, spiteful, misognynistic bastards these alleged men are.
Dodgy Angry

https://www.bbc.com/news/world-asia-63582047

"The Taliban have banned women from visiting all parks in Kabul, excluding them still further from public life in Afghanistan.
A spokesman for the Vice and Virtue Ministry told the BBC those managing parks in the capital had been told not to allow women in.
The group claims Islamic laws were not being followed at parks.
Women's rights and freedoms have been severely restricted since the militant Islamists seized power in August 2021.
Under Taliban rules on segregating people by gender, women have been allowed to visit parks on three days every week - Sunday, Monday, Tuesday - and men on the remaining four.
Now women won't be allowed even if accompanied by male relatives.

A number of women have been beaten for demanding their rights.
Women are barred from going on longer distance journeys without a male chaperone. Teenage girls have still not returned to school in most of the country, despite Taliban promises to allow them to do so.
While some women still work in sectors such as healthcare and education, most were told not to go to work after the Taliban swept back to power. In May a decree was passed ordering women to wear the Islamic face veil in public, although some in urban areas can still be seen failing to comply.
The Taliban have vowed there will be no brutal repression of women as there was when they were first in power in the 1990s.
They say they now respect women's rights in line with Sharia law, and are not against women being educated or having jobs."

They may claim that they now 'respect women's rights & are not against women being educated,' but they still exclude women from some subjects, therefore they're lying, deceitful hypocrites.
I wish it was possible to remove every last woman & child from Afghanistan.

Thumbs Up Tom Harris, top climate alarmist now turns skeptic...
Posted by: C_T_Russell - 11-11-2022, 11:38 AM - Forum: Opinion and Politics - Replies (7)

Ive always questioned the science around global warming, its been heavily politicized and now we see a top expert on the matter who was not long ago telling us we were doomed, to saying that its total nonsense!
What surprises me more is the data is now showing that CO2 has little to no impact on climate at all!
We have had far higher levels of CO2 in the past yet the planet was having an ice age!

Question So oat milk is better for the environment?
Posted by: C_T_Russell - 11-11-2022, 11:22 AM - Forum: Opinion and Politics - Replies (14)

This has to be the biggest con I can think of.
A friend was over who left oat milk behind and I was reading the pack.
It claims on the pack that oats are "better for the environment" even though they provide no sources are there to back it up.
Whats worse, is it says how the packaging is made from "plants" and is biodegradable. OK, that sounds very well and good, but how many plants need to be grown on how much land and how much energy is used to produce enough biopolymers for this single use packaging?
How much fertilizer is needed for all of this?
How much energy is used for growing, harvesting and processing these oats, along with all the chemicals needed to extract the "milk" from the oats?
Then to top it all off, this product is produced in europe!
How much co2 is produced from shipping this damn thing over here from the other side of the world?!

This is NZ, we dont need this crap from the other side of the world when we can get good quality cows milk locally.
Crazy world we live in when you think about it!

Anyone would have to be an idiot to think that a cow eating grass is doing more damage than what was involved in making this product designed to appeal to vegans and ill informed environmentalists.

These products were originally intended for people with food allergies, but now it seems that its marketed as an ethical choice to save the planet or some BS.
