  The Beatles Get Back documentary
Posted by: yousnoozeyoulose - 29-11-2021, 06:56 PM - Forum: Music - Replies (5)

Is very, very long.

First to admit that I'm more of a Rolling Stones fan, so the appeal of seeing the Fab Four do a whole lot of nothing for eight hours was always going to be limited at best. Not sure what Peter Jackson has done with his editor for the last few things he's done but a little tightening up would have helped. Saying that, it was good to see the process of getting a song from raw, scribbled lyrics to the finished article, and also to see Yoko slightly exonerated.

  MP Jacqui Dean
Posted by: Oldfellah - 29-11-2021, 03:45 PM - Forum: Opinion and Politics - Replies (5)

National MP Jacqui Dean says she was caught in 'power-play' between Judith Collins and Simon Bridges.

National Party MP Jacqui Dean says she was caught up in a ÔÇ£political power playÔÇØ last week, after her complaint about a years-old Simon Bridges comment led to the ousting of leader Judith Collins.

Dean, in a brief statement posted to Facebook on Monday afternoon, said it was ÔÇ£not my intention for past issues to be thrust into the spotlight as they wereÔÇØ, referring to her complaint about Bridges that led to his attempted demotion by Collins.

If this was not her intention, why the hell did she mention it?

  Covid Pass and Google Wallet
Posted by: Me+Me - 29-11-2021, 09:35 AM - Forum: Computing and Technology - Replies (21)

I'm not dumb technologically speaking - in fact I've got a lot more knowledge than your average citizen but I'm F*cked if I can see how to add this stupid Covid pass to the Google Wallet.

Not that it matters a lot I have a shortcut on the home screen of my phone to a .jpg of it but it's annoying me.

Anyone ?

  Steam cleaners - advice please?
Posted by: Olive - 28-11-2021, 09:29 AM - Forum: Gardening & DIY - Replies (3)

We want to get some kind of steam cleaner that will clean our tiled showers (walls as well as floors)and our floors. I'm finding it all a bit confusing and the prices vary enormously.

Karcher seems to be a commonly available brand, and this Hoover model sounds possible.   https://www.godfreys.co.nz/hoover-dual-steam-plus-3631

Does anyone have recommendations, both as to brand and to what kind of appliance we need?
