A family member used to make a delicious chutney we all used to call her Intense pickle ┬á- it was a recipe she claimed was named after a British colonel from India - have searched the net and canÔÇÖt find anything linked to the colonies - it was a dark pickle - spicy - definitely sultanas and apples - wasnÔÇÖt burn you mouth hot just delicious .Unfortunately she is not a recipe sharer

Could be a good thing if it snowballs, might be enough to lead to Putins collapse.

Which sounds terrible until you find out that the original email came from someone from the 'sovereign citizens' group..

https://thelawassociation.nz/extremism-s...veillance/

"Some believe they are bound by statutes only if they consent to them. They engage in obfuscatory tactics in court, making bizarre arguments based on what could only be described as pseudo law
Sociologist Paul Spoonley tells us that some of the messages coming through at the Parliament occupation reflected a growth of extremism that has been developing for some years (The Conversation republished in LawNews 11 March 2022).

One of the subsets of right-wing extremism that Spoonley describes is that of the ÔÇÿsovereign citizenÔÇÖ ÔÇô a phenomenon not unknown to those of us who have worked in the courts.
ÔÇÿSovereign citizensÔÇÖ have been appearing before the courts and advancing their ÔÇÿinterestingÔÇÖ arguments for the past 15 or so years. Spoonley suggests the sovereign citizen phenomenon has been influenced by American politics but once again he is vague as to how.

Sovereign citizens ÔÇô or, as they are referred to in the UK and Canada, freemen-of-the-land or FOTL ÔÇô share common attitudes to established law. Some believe they are bound by statutes only if they consent to them.

They engage in obfuscatory tactics in court, making bizarre arguments based on what could only be described as pseudo law. Most sovereign citizens are not violent but may be verbally aggressive and many will use pseudo-legal tactics merely as attempts to ignore certain rules, to get out of debt or to avoid such things as paying licence fees and traffic tickets."

https://www.stuff.co.nz/national/3010399...f-yourself

"Salt said he believed the email, sent on July 10, 2023, came from a person associated with Sovereign Citizens, a growing group across Aotearoa that sociologist Paul Spoonley said posed a threat in its right wing extreme views that elected governments do not have legitimate authority.
Stuff reported in 2023 that all councils had been experiencing an increase in aggressive behaviour from the group.

Actions taken by the group last year included death threats, anonymous letters, refusing to pay rates or fines, or claiming land ownership under┬áÔÇ£allodial titleÔÇØ.
ÔÇØWe have had to call police on a number of occasions. WeÔÇÖve had to beef up security and thereÔÇÖs an ongoing review of that. Two elected members now have panic alarms they carry with them at all times. I was shocked to see even places like the local DOC office having bullet-proof glass inserted,ÔÇØ said Salt,

The email that prompted SaltÔÇÖs F-bomb response was signed Anthony-John and accused council of being a ÔÇ£fictious [sic] entity but all liable to prosecution in actions of bad faith, on the grounds of not following due process of law done with intent to coerce to deceive, to enslave myself and othersÔÇØ.

  Which desktop should I use?
Posted by: Bryan - 15-01-2024, 12:28 PM - Forum: PressF1 - Replies (2)

I have two desktops and would like opinions as to which is best for my needs.

My main PC is an Asus Maximus VIII Nero Z170. It has an i7 6700k CPU and a Gigabyte Windforce GTX 970 GPU. The PC also has a Samsung NVMe M.2 500G SSD. All are in an Antec P280 case and all work perfectly. Running W11 Pro.

My second setup is much newer, A Gigabyte B460M d3h, i7 10700K but no GPU. The C: drive is a Samsung 850 SSD. Running W11 Pro.

I do not game, using the PCs' to correspond and keep household spreadsheets and the like, also minor video editing.

I think I need to have someone with experience to tell me to continue with the Z170 and to stop thinking an old man's foolish thoughts. Just use the Giga as a backup and if necessary, a test machine.

How to stop Co Pilot in Windows-10 22H2
Posted by: Still PeterEsp - 14-01-2024, 03:08 PM - Forum: PressF1 - Replies (5)

On my 19045-3803 build I have 'disabled' Co Pilot via Group Policy Editor >Admin Templates>Win Components>Win Co Pilot.  Brilliant!

On my other Pc with the same build, Co Pilot appears to have taken over the computer.  As soon as I key in Administrative Templates in the search box the screen is filled with multiple templates that appear to be internet search options, and not related to the workings of my PC.

I understand Co Pilot can't be uninstalled. I do not want or need this Co Pilot.  How can I stop it interfering with my needs?

Please help me.

I use Zorin OS 16 on one of my systems for SDR usage.
I installed the edge browser because I prefer it and can sync it to my other systems.

Question:
How can I avoid having to enter my password every time I start edge.
