I don't imagine he actually wrote it, rather that he paid some ghastly PR hack to write it for him.   As well as the obnoxious views it has a stale, recycled air about it.

Yes ! She's still around spouting the same rubbish. I have a couple of relatives who admire her (ironically, they are in poor financial circumstances as a result of poor choices) and they often quote her advice. Otherwise I wouldn't have thought of her in many years.

Hmmm - & it was the tedious Muriel Newman all the time. 
Not content to be a founding member of ACT & give it a rest, she clearly continues somehow to cling to her harsh neo Liberal views, despite overwhelming evidence of the damage done across those western countries which foolishly embraced it.

Even Jim Bolger has understood the harm it caused & found the courage to speak against it, but not apparently Muriel Newman.
