Apparently, there are 133  people (2 invisible) browsing in the last 15 mins, 123 who are guests.. Rolleyes Big Grin

Really not sure why anyone wants to be invisible here.

  MS Excel screen

I am using Excel from MS Office 365.  For some reason the "save" icon in the top left hand corner of the screen has disappeard.  I have looked in "options" under "file', but nothing looks as if it would help.  Can anyone advise?

Shamima Begum denied chance to challenge ruling
Posted by: Lilith7 - 08-08-2024, 06:09 PM - Forum: News and Current Affairs - Replies (1)

Shemima Begum has been denied the chance to challenge her citizenship ruling.

While I disagree strongly with what she did & would certainly not defend that, she was 15 at the time, so  basically an idiot kid whose brain wasn't yet fully functioning when she & a couple of friends scretly left the UK to become Isis brides, having been groomed online by Isis.

She  has had three children, all of whom have died & now lives in  refugee camp so has paid a high price for her foolishness & naivety.
It seems unfair to continue to punish someone for her actions as a young girl.

  A forum for harrasers, apparently

Stumbled across something called Kiwi Farms - initally, I assumed it was about farming but its a fairly nasty corner of the net, it seems. I've never heard of them previously - which I'm very pleased about given their dire reputation.

Shane Jones accuses power companies of profiteering
Posted by: Lilith7 - 08-08-2024, 12:06 PM - Forum: Opinion and Politics - Replies (8)

Never thought I'd agree with Shane Jones; definitely not a fan of his but I'm inclined to agree on this. But then profiteering is the name of the game in the Neo Liberal system. Dodgy

Channel 7 + not playing on Chrome based browsers.
Posted by: Mzee - 07-08-2024, 08:39 PM - Forum: PressF1 - Replies (5)

Channel 7 +, Australia will not play on Chrome, Chromium, or Brave. It plays on Firefox, using the same VPN (Nord) on all of them. It logs on, but has a static picture. SBS & Channel 9 are normal. The OS is MX-23.3

Any ideas?  Huh

  remove .srt files from videos.
Posted by: Bryan - 07-08-2024, 06:39 AM - Forum: PressF1 - Replies (2)

I have discovered that some video files I have downloaded have a text of the words of the song appearing along the bottom of the frames. I use Wondershare Uniconverter to down load my videos and in there is the ability to turn off ÔÇ£file mergerÔÇØ. When exported to the Downloader Folder I can delete the SRT file and I get a video without text.
There are some older files that still contain the SRT file. I can try and find them again on the Internet and use the correct method of removing the SRT file, as above, but I would like a simple to use program that will remove the SRT file from my existing video file. There are a number of programs offered on the internet but to me they seem difficult to use. Does anyone have an experience in this field who can guide me on this matter?
