  6 monthly boosters
Posted by: nzoomed - 15-11-2021, 08:03 PM - Forum: Covid-19 - Replies (36)

I dont know how this is going to play out.
In other countries, the uptake of boosters seems to be much lower than the initial first shots which isn't really any surprise.
In Ireland it looks like their population is waning in immunity as they have had 6 months and cases are surging.

  PC Gone Mad
Posted by: TygerTung - 15-11-2021, 03:32 PM - Forum: Opinion and Politics - Replies (21)

I think it is PC gone mad how so many bogs going in now are uni-sex, and there are not male and female bogs. Seeing as there are no urinals in the uni-bogs, this results in a situation where these dirty disgusting male pigs just urinate all over the seat, rim and floor, then don't even clean it up with a bit of bog roll.

When there is urinals this isn't a problem.

There needs to be three categories of bogs, male, female and uni. Because some people don't identify as either a man or a woman, they could use the uni if they are more comfortable with that.

  Difficult to comprehend really

Just how off the wall some of the "Anti" people are:

https://www.rnz.co.nz/news/national/4557...ne-mandate

Genocide ? Really ? After BILLIONS of doses have been given out - when/where is the Genocide ? Oh that's right it'll all be being hushed up by Governments under the control of Bill Gates and his super rich and powerful friends who have bought out ALL the Governments in the world, (yes 193 of them), AND all the Main stream news outlets.  Just so they can Kill off about 90% of the worlds population.  Apparently

A very bad plot in a very bad movie could hardly come up with more insane rubbish.

BUT people BELIEVE this as evidenced by that article I've linked.  Even people in good old Nz.  OMG.

We're screwed - and it's not Covid, nor is it the Vaccine - its HUMANITY itself.  Going to self destruct long before Climate Change gets us !

  Windows ME

What do people think about it? Is it really the worst ever Windows version?

Now what is it like in 2021? I'm awaiting a new motherboard in the mail and then I am going to try it out again.

It should be efficient in disc space, most computers had small hard drives in 2001

  Any repair... at all...
Posted by: oqack - 15-11-2021, 09:37 AM - Forum: Electronics - Replies (6)

With so much time on my hands I now have the perfect excuse for not getting things done. It is called subclavial steal syndrome along with an even longer term. A narrowing of a major artery preventing blood from going to my brain inhibiting memory function, dramatically... just looking back at how my life has been way back to early childhood now having been given the diagnosis a few weeks ago now. The blood meant for my brain is rerouted to an arm. I understand myself better now and also believe there is a healing going on in my life that heals the blockage. It may be that surgery completes before the healing takes place but I will not discount the spiritual process. No pain no gain seems to be quite true. I learned from an injury experience where the physiotherapist hurt the damaged area of my knee to recover a functioning knee after a forgotten injury of 45 years. I have had plenty of time to do the things I could do and those things have been anything basically.
So what I have learned is anything can be repaired and I am finding I can repair anything and well.
What occurred to me is, a forum group where any repair advice and experiences can be shared.

  The Grandparents thread
Posted by: Outsider - 15-11-2021, 09:01 AM - Forum: Family and Parenting - Replies (34)

So typical - for decades there were lots of posts from grandmas about grandchildren, which were a bit boring for someone who had given up on ever having any!
Now I have a grandchild - a miracle at my age - I can't find any, so am starting my own Smile

My beautiful granddaughter will be ONE tomorrow and is such a joy.
I was 73 when she was born, and I'm going to be helping out with looking after her from tomorrow as mum goes back to work (from home at the moment).
It's exhausting (I've done practice runs) so hope I'll be up to it.
Our lounge looks more like a family room now and much more messy, but that's how I like it.

I had kept loads of the best toys and books from my own children for 40 years!
Sadly had to get rid of most, but not all, when we moved house. I still hoped for a miracle and got it!!

What can she do? I'm glad you asked . . .
She's now standing unaided, wobbling a bit and looking at the camera before falling down on her bottom and getting up to try again.
Won't be long before she's walking now and getting into all sorts of mischief.
Babbling all the time - mum mum mum, dad dad dad and things that make sense only to her.

She loves books - me and her mum are making sure of that, and has joined the library.

Anyone else want to share about a special grandchild?
