Sean Plunket comment on Gaza Kids
Posted by: Lilith7 - 02-08-2025, 10:58 AM - Forum: News and Current Affairs - Replies (17)

Is he extremely nuts or just a really, really  nasty piece of work?

HOW anyone can make such a comment abot children dying of starvation is beyond understanding. Angry

  Brother Printer Updates
Posted by: brucem - 02-08-2025, 07:51 AM - Forum: Computing and Technology - No Replies

My printer, Brother DCP-J1050DW, is yet again wanting to update the application, for at least the second time in about 3 or 4 days!  I have updated it at least twice. A little while ago there was a Firmware update also that I did. Is this all genuine, or is somesort of scam involved?

Part of Five Eyes, we're told. Good to stop international crookery and drug trade, helping out Interpol...

Except it smacks way too much of tightening ties with a nation exhibiting all the signs of failure to me.

And didn't we get a bit exercised when China was revealed to be opening its little corner store police stations all over the world? How exactly is this any different?

Did get Mr Patel out of reach for more Epstein file attention though, didn't it? Sneaky bastards.

  Russian Earthquake
Posted by: harm_less - 30-07-2025, 02:42 PM - Forum: News and Current Affairs - Replies (1)

One of the largest earthquakes ever recorded happened (8.8 magnitude) at ~11:30 NZT. Live video feed of the Japanese coastline tops Stuff's news feed on this with tsunami expected to hit Japan around 4:00pm NZT. New Zealand will likely see tsunami activity at around 11:30pm NZT.

I guess we'll hear what to expect from the Solomons and Noumea as it passes through that region a few hours prior to it getting here.
