About time the ministry of health reported honest and transparent covid stats....
Posted by: C_T_Russell - 20-07-2022, 12:34 AM - Forum: Covid-19 - Replies (4)

Quite a no-brainer really, I have been saying this the whole time, doesnt take an expert to figure this out.
Who are these clowns running the show?
While they are at it, they need to report the number of admissions to hospital related to covid, and not just those that turn up and test positive.

The Ministry of Health is changing the way Covid-19 deaths are reported, with the new measure being deaths from Covid-19 that can be wholly or partially attributed to the virus.

Thumbs Up Armed citizen shoots down mass shooter
Posted by: C_T_Russell - 20-07-2022, 12:29 AM - Forum: News and Current Affairs - Replies (10)

Great job! He was able to take down the shooter before cops could get there...

Authorities say the person who shot five people at a suburban Indianapolis shopping mall, killing three of them, before a shopper shot and killed him was a 20-year-old local man.

Tongue No mask - no entry, what a load of bollocks!
Posted by: C_T_Russell - 18-07-2022, 01:25 PM - Forum: Covid-19 - Replies (7)

Anyone else notice the number of shops with signs out saying "no mask, no entry", but none of the staff inside are wearing any masks?
I reluctantly put on my face nappy when entering such a store last week, only to find they were not wearing theirs, so I immediately took it off in front of them.

Many shops staff (along with their customers) quite often can be seen wearing them below their nose alot of the time ive observed.

Just shows no one wants to wear the damn things, and rightly so, I would quit my job if I had to wear one of those inside all day.

Its disgusting going through the McDonalds Drive thru and seeing them fiddling with their sweaty masks before handing you your food!

Does anyone know if there is such a thing as kit-set garages in NZ that are NOT metal, ie not Versatile or Totalspan?

Cardinal George Pell being sued for abuse
Posted by: Lilith7 - 15-07-2022, 03:23 PM - Forum: News and Current Affairs - No Replies

By the father of a victim, alleging he was caused mental injuries by his son's abuse. That should prove interesting

https://www.bbc.com/news/world-australia-62158819

"The father of a choirboy who prosecutors alleged was sexually abused by Cardinal George Pell has launched a lawsuit against the cleric and the Catholic Church.
The man is seeking damages for mental injury that he suffered after learning of the allegations, his lawyers said.
In 2018 Cardinal Pell was convicted of abusing two choirboys in the 1990s.

But Australia's top court later quashed the convictions. Cardinal Pell has always maintained his innocence.
The Australian cleric had spent more than a year in prison when he was released in 2020 following a successful appeal.

One of the choirboys' fathers has now lodged a civil claim against Cardinal Pell and the Catholic Archdiocese of Melbourne in the Supreme Court of Victoria.

Neither the man nor his son - who died in 2014 - can be named for legal reasons.

His father is suing Cardinal Pell for an amount not yet known to compensate for the "nervous shock" he suffered as a result of losing his son and learning about the allegations a year later.

Nervous shock is a legal term for a recognised mental disorder, injury or illness caused by the actions or omissions of another party.
In statement of claim, he argues the Church is also liable as it breached its duty of care."

  Covid articles from Medscape
Posted by: SueDonim - 14-07-2022, 02:06 PM - Forum: Covid-19 - Replies (4)

Medscape (https://www.medscape.com) is a site that reports medical news and is a good source of information for what is going on in the world of medicine. It is American and aimed at medical professionals so not all content is relevant or of interest to us in NZ, but when the content is interesting, it is usually more readable than the original research articles that it reports.

Here are a few items about covid:

Best to stay clear of covid if at all possible.

COVID-19 Tied to Increased Risk for Alzheimer's, Parkinson's Disease https://www.medscape.com/viewarticle/976244
Covid is a risk, but so is flu and bacterial pneumonia. Best to stay clear of all of them I think.

I think zinc might have been the subject of one of Nurse Dr Campbell's videos.

Thumbs Up 57% of kiwis want unvaxxed nurses to return...
Posted by: C_T_Russell - 14-07-2022, 12:00 AM - Forum: Covid-19 - Replies (19)

Good to see that a good majority of kiwis have common sense and can see the mandates are now a joke.

The vaccine doesnt work, covid has long since mutated and many nurses dont want any more boosters for various reasons, not limited to some of them suffering side effects or not feeling well after their last shot.
Most of these nurses have had covid already and hence have natural immunity which is even better anyway.
Our health system is at breaking point and we need all the nurses we can get.
Bring them back!

  China's brutal lockdowns...
Posted by: C_T_Russell - 12-07-2022, 01:21 PM - Forum: Covid-19 - Replies (8)

Best thing ever to happen to China, obviously they have been unsuccessful to eradicate covid, but they are seeing a breakdown of society as the public are getting pissed off with their restrictions.
Now they are mandating vaccines for the first time, lets see how that plays out.

This might be the beginning of the fall of the CCP dictatorship.
