Emission reduction plan - yay or nay? |

There's no shortage of comment going on regarding the government's announcement yesterday.
So, does the program go far enough, is it too restrictive (or generous) and how successful will the plan's strategies prove to be?
Personally I see the vehicle scrapping initiative as a move in the right direction but I'm puzzled as to why the government continues to sit on its hands in regard to incentivising domestic PV installation. Distributed generation is a further incentive towards EV uptake while also reinforcing NZ's grid generation capacity and reducing transmission loading losses.

Trade Mes Feedback Dispute policy is bullshit, Cut off at 30days since auction closes, after that it is tough luck good bye,
not interested in your feedback dispute, Yet we have 45 days to place feedback?, It should be 30 days from feedback placed,
Feedback I received from seller is total lies defamatory, Nasty etc, going against feedback policy,
yet trade me wiped their hands of it, as it was placed over 30 days since auction closed, yet auction was in dispute with trade me trying to get it resolved,
seller ripped me off lied, contradicted their self in E-Mails many times etc.the evidence is all there in E-Mail communication,
now innocent traders are stuck with untruthful defamatory & nasty bullshit,
who else has struck this?, it is so so wrong on Trade Mes part no protection from rogue traders anymore,
Trade Me are literally rewarding these people by doing nothing, so they will do it again and again,
and penalizing the innocent parties who get stuck with bullshit defamatory Feed backs,

Creationist ideas being taught here. |

I had no idea that this backward, American right wing Christian nonsense was being taught here. This is really nasty & scary stuff which has somehow arrived here.
https://www.stuff.co.nz/national/educati...ate-change
"A curriculum that teaches creationism as fact, denies human involvement in climate change and depicts women as inferior to men has grown in popularity.
Former students describe teachers speaking in tongues and a cult-like atmosphere and claim the curriculum has sexist and racist undertones.
Hundreds of New Zealand students learn through Accelerated Christian Education, or ACE, at schools dotted across the country and via homeschooling. That number has increased due to the fallout of the Covid-19 pandemic.
ACE originated in Texas in 1970. It presents every subject through a Biblical worldview, with young Earth creationism and moral lessons embedded throughout.
ACE also attempts to discredit scientific evidence of humansÔÇÖ role in climate change. A science book for year 9 students says: ÔÇ£Attempts to show a connection between rising global temperatures and rising carbon dioxide levels have failed.ÔÇØ
Jean Balchin, 27, was homeschooled with ACE for six months between the ages of 9 and 10. Her time studying ACE was brief, but her siblings used it for the majority of their education.
Balchin says ACE hammered home the message as a woman, ÔÇ£I had to be docile, I had to be subservient, the man was the head of the householdÔÇØ.
The PACEs are peppered with comics illustrating moral lessons.
Balchin says ACEÔÇÖs lack of critical analysis has frightening real-world implications.
ÔÇ£Quite a few of my siblings are┬áanti-vaxxers, for example, because they take as gospel butchered quasi-scientific explanations from┬áscaremongers on Facebook."

Russia-Ukraine war: Photo sparks rumours of Russian President Vladimir Putin's replacement
This is the headline and there is a small photo on the link so when you click on it you would expect to see a larger photo, but no photo at all, there is a video but most of it is of troops marching and nothing of Putin's so called replacement.
The Herald does this sort of thing with a lot of its articles, show a small photo and when you go to read the article their is no bigger photo to see .... is this journalism clickbait?
