Thanks Nzoomed for putting this together. Much appreciated, and youÔÇÖve done a fantastic job in so little time. Glad we didnÔÇÖt all end up stuck on that other board.┬á

Onward and upward! Cheers.

"Still Wet Behind The Ears"... then...

"Mid Life Crisis".... then...

"Aged Disgracefully.... and finally...

"Old Fart"  Tongue Big Grin

Question Using the "Quote" feature
Posted by: videomonkey - 22-02-2020, 05:11 PM - Forum: Tips & Tricks - Replies (5)

It seems like a few people are having issues getting the hang of the "quote" feature. Fair enough! It's a bit more complex than the system Trademe use on their boards.

Here's a quick rundown:

1) Quote a single post
Simply click the "reply" button below the post you want to quote and reply to.

Example image: https://i.imgur.com/LsjyKK1.png

This will open the "new thread" window with the selected post quoted. Start typing your message underneath the quote box (not inside it, as this will make your reply part of the quote).

Example image: https://i.imgur.com/JvyeSKO.png

2) Quote multiple posts
Click the "quote" button under each post you want to quote, then click the "reply" button under the last post.

Hopefully that makes sense! Any questions, feel free to ask below Smile

Don't get involved in message board rivalry
Posted by: Bob - 22-02-2020, 10:21 AM - Forum: General Discussion - Replies (20)

Serious people, don't get involved in the silly game that some posters want to 'think' or 'create' that there is or should be a conspiracy around this board and the other one.

Some will use it to claim why certain things are said or happening........it isn't a freaking contest so don't buy into their dramas

These things never end well and threaten the existence of both boards.

Enjoy whatever board you want to post on for whatever reasons even if it's both

The poor wee boy who is been bullied
Posted by: Angierose - 21-02-2020, 03:41 PM - Forum: General Discussion - Replies (6)

Seeing the heartbreaking video of his mum showing his heartbreak of being bullied and wanting to end his life
I have a 14-year-old girl who has Aspergers and was bullied quite badly in her first year of school
was a horrible year with tears at being dropped off in the morning
She has some good friends at the school and this year shes happy confident positive
Whos at fault with the bullying??
Schools can only do so much and yes this school my girl went to was very supportive but isn't it up to the parents to teach compassion??
I strongly believe compassion is not taught/shown in some families
so what can change to change this??

Where do you like to save your work.  Thinking that I should look at an alternative to Flickr where I have quite a few.  Preferably free.  I'm a fairly hard-up pensioner.

  Kogan Monitors.
Posted by: olwen - 20-02-2020, 09:24 PM - Forum: Computing and Technology - Replies (5)

I've noticed this monitor on DIck Smith's site.  My ancient monitor (less than FHD) has a 1 pixel green line down it.  It looks like a good price especially with free shipping.  Would it be a mistake?
