Miserable, narrow minded, bigoted bullies. And no doubt this will be seen by the McBishop & his followers as a victory.
I hope this group are successful, because if not then this lot will continue to try to restrict anyone & anything they don't happen to approve of.
And I'm not an expert on the law, but I wonder whether or not this might count as restricting their civil liberties. Specifically the right to be free from discrimination.

Quote:The ultimate action in anti-bullying': Rainbow storytime group targeted by Brian Tamaki cancels tour
A rainbow storytime group targeted by Destiny Church leader Brian Tamaki and supporters is cancelling its nationwide tour to focus on court action.
Events in Rotorua and Gisborne were shut down amid continuous protest activity by Tamaki's supporters, which also saw Gisborne's rainbow crossing vandalised.
In a Facebook post, Rainbow Storytime NZ, comprised of Erika Flash [drag queen Daniel Lockett] and Coco [founder Sunita Torrance], said it was "very upset and disappointed" to cancel the nationwide tour planned for later this year.
"We had an entirely new show ready to go with new books and new songs and new costumes.
"We know there will be MANY sad kids and parents out there but with the current climate and ERIKA FLASH now staying on in London, we are going to press pause on everything we are doing."
The Facebook post said they would focus their energy on taking "that hateful, icky group to court to try and create more widespread change in Aotearoa".
The pair told Newshub last month they were planning to take legal action against Tamaki and are fundraising for the fight.
"This is the ultimate action in anti-bullying and the ultimate message of what our Storytimes are about so we want to do our best!"
Rainbow Storytime NZ said it was determined to do another tour next year once it had time to regroup.

There seem to be several difficulties with this not so brilliant idea. They just seem to have been in too much of a rush to appear tough & haven't bothered with the details.
https://www.stuff.co.nz/politics/3502549...ng-patches
Quote:"Through the Gangs Legislation Amendment Bill, the Government planned to introduce four new powers to ÔÇ£crack downÔÇØ on gangs:
- Making it illegal to wear gang insignia in public.
- Giving police powers to force suspected gang members to disperse.
- Giving district courts powers to make ÔÇ£non-consorting ordersÔÇØ, so ÔÇ£specific gang offendersÔÇØ cannot communicate for three years.
- Making gang membership an aggravating factor at sentencing.
The gang insignia ban and restrictions on communication and congregation have raised significant human rights concerns because the Bill of Rights Act protects freedom of expression and association. These gang laws could be used against people who have not been convicted of another crime, creating their own offences.
Lawyers also said gang membership was already an aggravating factor in sentencing.
If patches and insignia were banned, he expected ÔÇ£gang signsÔÇØ to become a main identifier of gang members. Robinson showed the committee one sign which was already in use as a gang sign, but in sign language meant ÔÇ£I love youÔÇØ.
ÔÇ£Imagine a world where we were attacked for using that sign in the wrong space,ÔÇØ he said.
"Overseas, deaf people have died as a result of this... I am concerned you will create a problem here in New Zealand. So I ask the committee to stop the bill to protect our community.ÔÇ£
The Law Society's Chris Macklin said the bill should be withdrawn and sent "back to the drawing board".
He and other lawyers, as well as the Free Speech Union, cast doubt on Government arguments that similar measures had been successful in Australia. He said the studies offshore showed in many cases gangs continued operating underground, and became harder to identify.
Civil liberties campaigner┬áThomas Beagle┬ásaid this would ÔÇ£create a new class of New Zealanders with fewer rightsÔÇØ.
Pointing out the gang list could be changed fairly easily, he asked: "Who will be the next group classified as a problem?ÔÇ£
ÔÇ£This bill is rotten right the way through. I am disappointed it has got this far in a rights-respecting nation,ÔÇØ he concluded."

It looks stunning in the photos - the weaving must have taken months.

Quote:"New Zealand artists Mataaho Collective have won one of the world's most sought-after prizes in the art world.
The group was awarded the Golden Lion for the Best Artist in the International Exhibition at the Venice Biennale in Italy, which has been likened to winning gold at the Olympics.
Known for their large-scale fibre-based artwork, the group is made up of Māori women artists: Erena Baker-Arapere (Te Ātiawa ki Whakarongotai, Ngāti Toa Rangatira, and Ngāti Raukawa), Sarah Hudson (Ngāti Awa, Ngāti Pūkeko, and Tūhoe), Bridget Reweti (Ngāti Ranginui and Ngāi Te Rangi), and Dr Terri Te Tau (Rangitāne and Ngāti Kahungunu ki Wairarapa).
"Mataaho Collective has created a luminous woven structure of straps that poetically criss cross the gallery space. Referring to matrilinear traditions of textiles with its womb-like cradle, the installation is both a cosmology and a shelter," Biennale's jury said.
The jury described the work's "impressive scale" as a "feat of engineering that was only made possibly by the collective strength and creativity of the group".
"The dazzling pattern of shadows cast on the walls and floor harks back to ancestral techniques and gestures to future uses of such techniques."

Good for her. I suspect that lot in the beehive will take not a scrap of notice & just carry on with bulldozing as much as they can. This is definitely NOT democracy.
https://www.msn.com/en-nz/news/national/...0e7ac&ei=8
Quote:"This week in Auckland, a group of young people took over the microphone at a ministerial press conference, to explain why they oppose the Fast-Track Approvals Bill.
One young woman said, ÔÇÿWeÔÇÖre here because we love Aotearoa New Zealand.┬á We want to raise our children in an environment thatÔÇÖs thriving, and in a democracy we can be proud of.┬á WeÔÇÖre just holding our leaders accountable for creating a future we all want to live in.ÔÇØ
By speaking from the heart, she nailed whatÔÇÖs wrong with this bill.┬á Its an all-out assault on what makes this country so special, a place to love and care for ÔÇô our beautiful islands, the source of prosperity and well-being for so many Kiwis, and our democratic freedoms as New Zealanders.
No MP who believes in democracy can support this bill, and stay true to their values.  It lacks any democratic mandate.  It emerged from backroom deals among politicians, advanced by a party that won just 6 percent of the vote in the recent election.
The majority party, with 38 percent of the vote, told voters that it was ÔÇ£passionate about safeguarding New ZealandÔÇÖs unique natural environment, abundant native biodiversity, pristine waters and spectacular landscapes for future generations.ÔÇØ This bill is the antithesis of NationalÔÇÖs manifesto.
The fast-track bill also excludes citizens from having any say about what happens in their own communities, in favour of ministerial fiat. In its provisions, three ministers get to decide on projects that go on the ÔÇÿfast trackÔÇÖ for decision-making, and which projects are finally approved.┬á
In addition, these ministers get to choose the members of the advisory group and the convenor of the expert panels, who must consult them about appointees to the panels. Their powers are almost untrammelled, while the members of affected communities are excluded.
None of the projects proposed for the fast-track will be made public before the deadline for submissions to the select committee has expired, although they will be listed in the law, if it is passed, denying citizens the right to comment on these proposals. There are no rigorous controls over conflicts of interest, a pivotal protection against abuses of power."

Got someone with a one month old samsung tablet, cant remember PIN number on the lock screen nor the google account associated with the device.
It appears they have inadvertently created another google account when they set up the device, because when signing in to their google account it says its not the account linked to the device.
Tried using droidkit but no success, i get to the part where it is supposed to send a notification to the device, but nothing comes through.
Is there any linux based tools I could try?
Failing that, the only option i see is sending it back to samsung, if they even help in these cases.
