Agree 100 %. Loved his show; but would some of his 'acts' be allowed today? After all he was a hard case.
Billy was great at poking the borax at matters of the day including at his own race. Like so much comedy of yesteryear social norms have changed and much of the content is now considered offensive and unacceptable.
The list of such comedy is a long one but many still worth searching out 'for old time's sake'. Benny Hill, Archie Bunker, Married With Children, much of Monty Python, Dave Allen, Peter Cook & Dudley Moore, ...
