The pic in my profile is Ralph.
We lost our Ralph 3 weeks ago, he was killed on the road. Very sad.  He was an incredible cat.

We also have.
The fat ginger boys, Tom & Bob.
The bush cat, Gordon.
The powder-puff Bicheon, Jax.
A high-strung GSD, Ruffie.
A pitty x, Bruce.
A first hereford X heifer, Ruby-Moo
and too many bloody chickens!

I am so sorry to hear about Ralph. I inheireted a kitten in September when my son moved to Aussie, she was 1 a week ago, her name is Chi Chi(FGS LOL) and she is a right royal pain in the bum but very lovable. She is very clingy to me, follows me everywhere, even to the toilet lol, and constantly getting under my feet, especially when i am cooking and first thing in the mornings when i am like a zombie lol, she was apparently taken from her mother too early and i wonder if this is why she is so clingy but all in all she is a great wee cat/kitten. I also have 14 goldfish in an outdoor pond and am currently trying to convince hubby to get a puppy, i only want a little dog like a bichon or something

Thanks. We have a lot of pets and animals and death is part of it. But Ralph has been a particularly hard one.

Your cat sounds very social.

Can highly recommend Bicheon.

This is the easiest pup I've ever had!
She did have a wee problem with fear aggression towards big dogs, she's still scares of our GSD (but in her defense - it is warranted), but pinched food off the pitty Rolleyes .  She has a play date with a middle size dog most mornings and goes to doggie daycare one day a week for full-on socialisation.

Hi  Sorry to hear about your Sheltie. We have a 12 year old, Smile , he is getting a bit frail, dopey and deaf. Had 3 Shelties over the years, none of them lasted past 10.  So sad to see them go.  Sad Sad

Yeah, Shelties are the best wee dogs - she was my 3rd & was also getting quite frail etc.
She was such a great little 'peace keeper'...always breaking up any grumbles between any of the other fur kids lol...a right wee 'mother hen' <3

I have a nearly 9 yr old Bulldog. I'm feeling just about ready for a new pup/dog too but it has to be the right one, so I'm not in any rush.

Hey  Ralph  So sorry to read about your loss.
We have 2 Dogs who are like our Kids to us & so I know how had it would be for you too.
We have  a 14 year old Foxie who isnt really that well.  She has a bad cough which the vets cant really do much about because of her age. She is on meds which do help alittle bit.
We also have a 9 year old Pommeranian / Chihahuahua  & we love them both very much.

We  had to put our Foxie to sleep 4 weeks ago as she fell very sick & we had to do the kind thing so she didnt suffer anymore.
We miss her so much too.

Heart
We  had to put our 14 year old Foxie to Sleep in May & we miss Trixie so much as she was like a Daughter to us since we have no kids. She used to follow me everywhere. When I got up in The Morning She would get out of her bed & follow me to the Bathroom  & sit outside The door waiting for me & then follow me back to the bedroom. Then after that she would wait for me in the kitchen for her Breakfast.  If I went somewhere She would follow me.
Trixie had been sick for along time & slowly got worse as time went by. Then the last few days of her life she couldnt walk properly & on The afternoon of her last day she collaped & I had to take her to our vet who put her to Sleep. We got her Cremated & have her ashes sitting in a box on our China Cabinet. She is still in our Hearts & Soles.
Very hard losing someone so close & Dear to you.

One cat which is missing me apparently. Will see her next week. Someone should film her reaction when I walk through that door and then upload it to Youtube underplayed with some emotional music. In reality, she'll probably just give me a dismissive blink and go back to sleep, but I'll take it.

I have a gorgeous tabby named Molly May, and she is just 10 years old. She gets a bit stroppy sometimes, but I don't care. I just think she is a sassy girl, like her mother.:-))

She is mistress of the house, and my life revolves around her. She is so precious and so loved. When she looks at me, I know she loves me too.

I only wish that I could retrain her to go to the toilet outside again. I got a toileting tray for her, when I had to go away for a couple of days, a few years back, and when I got home, and removed it, she kept on pooing inside, so I relented and brought it back into the laundry. Big mistake.

Safer for her though...

We don't have any pets at the moment because our last cat was beautiful and we had to have her put to sleep in April 2017. We couldn't face getting another cat in our mid 70s, but we look after my daughter's cat when they go away. That cat was one of two that my son had to give up in London, so decided to send them to NZ for a better life. Unfortunately his favourite cat died of cancer in 2017 but put up a brave fight for 3 years.

Now son has a Pomsky (Pomeranian/Husky) puppy nearly a year old that has just been diagnosed with Lyme disease caused by a tick. He's devastated as he loves his dog. Has anyone else had a young dog with Lyme disease that has survived it? At the moment it is on strong antibiotics from the vet and I think it was caught early because they didn't notice the tick when he was neutered a couple of months ago.
