Police are investigating a rally protesting the GovernmentÔÇÖs Covid-19 vaccination mandates and lockdowns held in Christchurch and attended by Destiny Church leader Brian Tamaki.

Tamaki also spoke at the event, in a possible breach of his bail conditions.
However, the Auckland-based bishop said SaturdayÔÇÖs event was a ÔÇ£family picnic, not a protestÔÇØ

He's claiming to be a 'political prisoner' - you have to give him credit, that's a hell of an imagination he's got.

Dunno about remanding him but no doubt they will. And no doubt the McBishop will make much of it, continuing to claim martyrdom which his followers will believe.

Religious expert says Tamaki sees himself as a martyr. Perhaps they need to come up with a way in which he can't so easily claim martyrdom. Unbelievable, his ego must be the size of an elephant!

"It just seems to me in a certain sense, he sees himself as a martyr for the cause of truth and righteousness and I wonder if that's actually going to help his proceedings," said Lineham."
