Need to ask why this was in the most democratic state there is and under Bidens administration,  very convenient that the water reservoir was empty for "maintenance"

Cuz it is nonsense, let's not fingerpoint the illegal aliens that were arrested for starting it, but blame it all on global warming.
You really are a sponge for sucking up conspiracy related content it would seem

A friend ran a plumbing business in the LA area for about 20 years prior to the early 2,000s. He has worked on many of the houses in the Pacific Pallisades area and it has long been regarded as a disaster waiting to happen in terms of wildfires. The last two winters saw heavy rainfall events (remember the mud slide issues around Malibu?) which generated massive vegetative growth and this winter has seen only 4mm of rain since last July so all that growth became potential wildfire fuel. Doesn't matter what the ignition source/s were, the whole situation was totally uncontrollable due to factors related to changing climatic conditions. And they're suggesting a total rebuild of the same area, doh!

The other factor that doesn't seem to have been picked up by the news is the absolutely massive amount of fire debris that now needs to be cleared and disposed of, bearing in mind that many of the homes destroyed are of an age that means they will have asbestos content. And where are they going to find the labour to do all this clean-up and rebuild the area when Trump is deporting all the immigrant labour that have up until now been the backbone of the construction industry.

The US is in for some very negative results from Trump's broad brush policies. Expect civil unrest and widespread economic difficulties as food production and construction are compromised by labour shortages and prices rise as a result of tariffs on imports. We're seeing Idiocracy play out in real life here and it's not going to end well.
Lots of factors at play here, but we do know that there was poor water storage for such an event and this area backs onto desert, its a highly populated place in a dry climate with no real plan set in stone to address fires.
It was a recipe for disaster, they have to pipe their water in all the way from the Colorado river, its one of the largest water schemes in the world.
Meanwhile Lake mead has been filling up again, California really needs to build better water storage infrastructure.
The natural environment in that region could never support that many million people with the water available, having to pipe the stuff in says alot.
Residential areas should not be built near forest either.
As far as all that overgrowth, perhaps that should have been cleared and never left to grow so much, and as far as immigrant labour goes, there are plenty of US citizens desperate for jobs, so why give it to immigrants?
