You're entitled to your own opinion and perspective but suggesting those with different views are either "on the spectrum or mentally ill" is pretty rude. Most of all to people on the spectrum or those with mental illnesses.

I'd rather be accused of having shit for brains or being a fucking muppet for being open to the idea of non-binary genders. I dunno if you can use the C-word here, but call me a thick c--- if you feel that strongly about it.

But me acknowledging that someone may not identify with a gender that's male or female makes no difference at all to my life. If a person asks if I might let their partner go ahead of me in line for something because they are pregnant, I don't really need to know if they're a pregnant male, female or something inbetween or outside. If they're carrying a baby inside them, then there's a good chance their body has surprised them with randomly full feeling bladder or a mad craving for McDonald's fries. I'm not going to die waiting for one extra person.

Agreed, we have progressed alot since those days when such things were considered mental illness.

There are only two genders. Male and Female. Science. 
To deny this and claim to be somthing else is only in ones own mind. If your mind is telling you otherwise then it is not firing on all cylinders.
As someone on the spectrum I can understand the thinking. As do I understand mental illness, bit of that too. It is an abnormal affliction but it is just that, an affliction.

I dont do PC bullshit, being 'on the spectrum' is not an insult. Being called a retard is an insult.
Having a mental illness is not an insult either. Id rather be called that than 'nuts' or 'stupid'.
I dont think we need to re-write the biology textbooks and build separated shithouses because someones weirdo sister wants to be an asexual unicorn.
