We don't have any pets at the moment because our last cat was beautiful and we had to have her put to sleep in April 2017. We couldn't face getting another cat in our mid 70s, but we look after my daughter's cat when they go away. That cat was one of two that my son had to give up in London, so decided to send them to NZ for a better life. Unfortunately his favourite cat died of cancer in 2017 but put up a brave fight for 3 years.
Now son has a Pomsky (Pomeranian/Husky) puppy nearly a year old that has just been diagnosed with Lyme disease caused by a tick. He's devastated as he loves his dog. Has anyone else had a young dog with Lyme disease that has survived it? At the moment it is on strong antibiotics from the vet and I think it was caught early because they didn't notice the tick when he was neutered a couple of months ago.
