Recently friend was telling me about their granddaughter who was visiting and lost her first tooth and naturally was a bit worried that tooth fairy wouldnÔÇÖt know to visit NanÔÇÖs place. The Nan rang the parent to find out the going rate for a tooth in their house and being a 2 income professional family it is $5 (seemed rather steep for Nan but never mind it was paid.┬á┬á 
A couple of weeks later I had a dentist appointment for a tooth out which had to be done in 3 pieces so I asked the dentist if the going rate for the tooth fairy was $5 for one could I count this as 3 teeth and get $15 - he gave me a rather odd look before laughing. He offered me the pieces at the end but I declined with thanks I think the tooth fairy will have forgotten where to visit here many years ago
