Another lovely day.
IÔÇÖve no idea why the ÔÇ£expertsÔÇØ like gray so much. Brother moved into a new housing development and everything is dull gray. They do have a bright yellow door so the previous owner must have wanted a bit of colour otherwise I think┬áit is all rather depressing.
Yesterday Watties put on a family day in the park around the corner with bouncy castles etc for the kids and a huge sausage BBQ. I had unexpected visitors so couldnÔÇÖt wander over until about finishing time thinking it would have been all gone but no there were still heaps of sausages so I tried them and they were really yummy.┬á
I asked one of the workers where they had got them and they were made especially for Watties by a butcher in Hamilton and contained baked beans and tomato sauce along with the meat. They were nice and meaty and you couldnÔÇÖt tell there were baked beans in them. He then gave me a container full to bring home so I have several meals in the freezer.┬á
Off to get ideas for shelves in my ex hot water cupboard and see what specials Skeinz have and hopefully find something for a 6 yr olds cardy.
Then some baking as I want to make an apple shortcake for tomorrowÔÇÖs morning tea as both the ladies rostered on baking have covid. ┬áIf the oven is on I may as well as throw in a batch of biscuits as well to start this weekÔÇÖs baking.┬á
