morning ladies Another damp day on the cards.
Boy our birds are chomping their way through their bird puddings and fruit. And they certainly let us know when they want more lol. I love the idea of the whisk, I would never have thought of using it like that. Our bird puddings are melted dripping (the smell is awful so windows open lol), a couple of good dollops of peanut butter melted with it, some wild bird seed, rolled oats and raisins or sultanas mixed to a slurry. Sometimes I throw the last of the coconut in with it. I put it into the silicone muffin tray and throw into the freezer to harden. Bag it when frozen and then put out for the birds when needed. The last puddings I made had the crumbs and 'dust' from the Furry One's marrow treats and they loved that.
Am so glad the Ukrainian-kiwi kids are settling into kiwi life, JanW. It sounds like they have very sensible parents who have prepared them well. Their poor mum lol, there will be lots of slang she will have to decipher. I would love to take our grandkids to see the museum in Sydney one day, it sounds amazing.
Yesterday I finished the bottom wing and can now start on the top right wing. Am very happy with it so far. I've had some ideas for a new project but it will take time to gather the goodies I need for it. Today I'll try and sketch my idea so it can make some kind of sense. While I finish the butterfly it can mull away in my head until I get it right. My bird series is also still 'cooking' away in my mind too and it's something I can keep going back to.
Another trip to Hamilton for me this afternoon as our friend has another clinic appointment at Waikato. Pity they couldn't co-ordinate them but oh well, it is what it is. And I have a friend popping round to take an old travel trunk for her granddaughter to decoupage for her room. Crafts are alive and well with the next generations.
Happy crafting
just had a look at my clematis and it has the teeniest flower buds! Couldn't believe it lol and had to get MrK to take a look just to make sure lol
