Hmmm so if this is a bribe what would you call the winter energy payment?

For me it means I can turn on the heater on those really cold mid winter nights, instead of going to bed at 7pm.

Is it targeted?  My dad who has 2 mil in the Bank gets it - he spends it on beer.  Many similar.   Targeted like a shotgun blast.

I think that says rather a lot about your dad.

There is a very simple process to opt out.

 Indeed; I don't understand people who don't actually need it claiming it anyway, all the while having' made it on their own through hard work ' according to them, & not redirecting that money to various charities.
