You can never have enough...
woahh OHH, you will feel all that work tomorrow Smile But satisfying to have it done.

Jan, I don't consider watching the butterflies a waste of time. Think of it as mental health time Tongue

The chair on the Repair Shop was stunning when it was all finished, popeye. And I loved the story that went with it. His grandparents were so brave to do what they did. If they had been caught it would have been over for them. Popeye, you should be able to find the episode on TVPlus (the demand part of TVNZ) or You Tube may have it too.

I have sanded, scraped and painted with oil based sealant in the bathroom. Just waiting for it to dry so I can put some coats of paint on and for MrK to finish his repair. Once all that is done and dry I can use the sealant in the tube and squeeze it under and around the splash back Big Grin I'm very grateful for Dad's old tools and boy my little mouse sander works a treat!

Time for some lunch. The washing is dry from all the wind and sun so another bonus day.

Peach trees are good to have in the garden, I still have an old one which has a few peaches each year, usually enough for me & the neighbours
The forecast last night was merrily brandishing the sun symbol so hung out washing this morning, & sure enough, the sun duly came out.

I think it was an entire ten minutes before if buggered off again! There may possibly have been a few words said, but decided to leave it out a while longer just in case they were right.
Have finally given up & brought it all in, hung most on back porch.
So obviously, the sun will turn up at any minute.Smile

Still sunny here. A few clouds passed over, but the sun came back, so the peach tree baby got planted, now we will see if it survives. Did a bit of trimming and tidied up and that is it for me. I'm going to laze away the rest of the weekend...

three coats of paint on Big Grin and tomorrow the silicone stuff can be squirted around. One bathroom refreshed and cleaned up for the princely sum of $50 for silicone, cutting brushes, turps and a shower curtain Big Grin I'm very glad we hoard our excess paint.

morning ladies Smile From a fine, breezy day yesterday to a miserable wet day today.

This morning I can squirt the silicone stuff around the edges of the splash board and job done. I repainted it white and what a difference that has made to the bathroom. Such a small area making a huge impact with brightness. It just confirms our feeling that when renovated the bathroom main colour (shade?) should be white. It's such a teeny tiny space so anything to make it look bigger.

Once all of that is done, I plan to work on the other side of the tote bag. Would be nice to have it finished.

Good morning.

Yay, for Lewis Clareburt, gold in 4 by 1 medley  Handshake

Not sure what the day is going to do,  cloudy at present.

You will be feeling pleased with your bathroom makeover KM. Thanks for the offer of lemons, I have 12 or so on my wee tree, that I'll eke out for a little while. We won't be able to see our vulnerable parents until 10 days post Covid. Amazingly the half dozen big passion fruit that have been sitting on the vine for a few months now,  are starting to darken. Can't imagine that they'll be viable at this time of year  Undecided

I now have a decent cough, will test a bit later. 5 days since DH tested positive.

Not too much planned ... I'm in the process of sewing up the matinee jacket, back to blanket after.

Enjoy the day.

Morning everyone

Its sunny but it has rained overnight.

Roma grab some Epsom salts and mix a handful to a bucket of water and tip from the top of the passionfruit vine down. They love it and next year you should have Heaps.

I think this house Im in must have always been a rental cos there's no trees, only the stupid Yakka and a few succulents etc in the front garden.

I have a guy coming to pick up the dryer this morning so another thing gone. And Ive sold my 3 cane washing baskets. They will be gone over the next few days. So Im making more room in the garage.. And the couch should go in a weeks time. Yay.

OOPS.. I thought Id try on a brand new pair of tights that have been in the wardrobe since well before we moved here. Still had the lable on.. They are loose at the waist and thighs but from knee down they fit nicely lol.. Ill add some elastic to the back lol. Also have a bra on that I haven't fitted for many many years but for some reason I held onto. There's two actually and they do up in the front . 6 more kilos and I will weight what I did when I met MrP 33 years ago .

Many years ago we lived on a farm and I kid you not the bathroom was Barbie Pink... It was a shocker. lol.. So MrP asked what colour I wanted it changed to. Not even thinking about how it would brighten it up I said White. That way I knew it would suit all my towels lol. Here they are this non descript pale mushroom/yellowish colour.

Have a fab day everyone

Weird out there, sunny, windy with rain squalls. Glad I did all the work yesterday despite the physical cost which is easily coped with thanks to panadol and long sleep ins, which the cat thoroughly approves of this morning. It will be a lazy day today, life can resume tomorrow!

So I am watching my auctions this morning, and after weeks of quiet action all of a sudden my $25 start rubber stamps listing gets two determined bidders and 51 bids later we are over the $100...

I cannot help thinking this HAS to fall over, these women are mad.

Tipping down first thing here but it eased a bit so dog & I went out for throwing the ball - just as it started tipping down again. Madame le Dog decided against further throwing at the third throw & came trotting back, went right past me with a determined look in her eye, straight up the steps & put the ball away!

She's never done that before so I consider myself told. Smile

Good morning weird old day here - chilly windy sunshine cloud everything except rain - so am thankful for that - the monarchs are like planes in a holding pattern - there are wasps on their favoured plant and the monarchs are giving them a wide birth -
My other son came here yesterday to pick up some of his fathers agricultural tools - so made him take a trailer full of all sorts - the trailer was big enough to transport those two cows I put the photo up of so thought he may as well fill it with stuff to take to the op shop .
Did your lemon slice go down well at your function Veronica

Yes odd day weather wise here, IÔÇÖm sitting in a nice sunny spot at the moment but probably wonÔÇÖt last, thereÔÇÖs a bitterly cold wind outside.
There were only a few pieces of the lemon slice left so guess they liked it. As it was lunchtime the bigger cakes werenÔÇÖt so popular- next time we will do more sandwiches and savoury things.
Took my favourite tool - a small chainsaw - over to a friends yesterday and cut a good sized limb of a tree, it had grown a football sized ÔÇ£growthÔÇØ.┬á DonÔÇÖt know how I managed before without the chainsaw, it is a battery one which only runs for just under an hour before needing recharging which is quite long enough for my back!

morning ladies Smile We have a lovely frost with the promise of sunshine this morning.

That's great, popeye. Nice he delivered it himself Smile

I really like the idea of that small chainsaw, venetian Smile Might have to look into those. The chap who does our tree pruning has a great pruning saw on a long pole which could be handy too.

We're doing pretty well at the Commonwealth Games so far. It seems petty to me that our woman's cyclist silver medal holder won't receive her medal as she couldn't make the medal ceremony. She was called in at the last minute to help the cycling team so surely that's good sportsmanship and the medal should be awarded.

Busy day for us both today. All those outside things that need doing and have been put off thanks to the rain can be done today.

Happy crafting Smile

Morning everyone

A clear sky at the mo. No frost tho.

Yes those little chainsaws are awesome. They guy that came around to trim the trees out the back had, I think it was Ryobi, all interchangeable tools for the one battery, and the pole was good and long.

I love MrPs drop saw.. and I am fascinated by reciprocal saws, they would be handy for something lol. I regret him selling the Drill press.

Off to see MrP this morning and home for a pick up this afternoon. Then Ill unwrap my new machine .. No Doubt Missy is down there checking out as we speak.

Was talking to a Sister friend, who was MrPs carer last night. She is losing weight too and she said she had to buy more knickers cos hers were falling down. It was soo good to talking to someone who understands that lol. And she is being very careful with her rings too. Hopefully we can meet up this week and have a golly good catch up.

We are doing soo well at the Games.. Makes ya feel proud eh. Also makes you wonder how more we may have done at the Olympics, with the sports people having their families with them is making a huge difference.

Have a fab day everyone

Good morning.

It's going to be a nice, sunny day, a frost in some parts of the Bay apparently.

I joined the Covid Club yesterday, so far my symptoms not as bad as DH's, fingers crossed that continues.

I've never had a desire to use a chainsaw lol, but a baby one sure would be useful.

You will be looking forward to trying out that mower Popeye  Smile

Not much planned ... just continue with the recuperation. I will have been in iso for 2 weeks by the time I "get out of jail"!

Enjoy the day all.
