Mandatory vasectomies?

For young men. it sounds interesting, could work but is highly unlikely to ever happen there. I don't agree that it should be mandatory thought, it should be an option.

Oklahoma State Rep. Mickey Dollens (D) floated an idea to other state legislators this week ahead of the passage of Oklahoma bill HB 4327 which bans abortion at the point of conception, leaving only exceptions for rape, incest, or in cases where the motherÔÇÖs life is at risk.

Dollens invited those who were voting for the bill to consider a bill he is thinking of introducing next year, one that would give mandatory vasectomies to young men.

Well yes, we'd think so as would many others.
But for some, the merest hint of such a thing is anathema - & oddly they're often the very people keen to restrict women's contraception & rights to abortion. I think it needs to be an option, & encouraged - obviously after plenty of education on contraceptives.

Even so, its still less complicated & cheaper, then a tubal ligation, which involves abdominal surgery & takes some time to recover from.

If it was up to me, all  contraceptives & surgery to prevent pregnancies would be paid for with taxes, so free when the need arises.
