Feel sorry for those with the courage to escape that cult.
How is anyone supposed to get back on their own two feet and support 10 children in this day?
Its bad enough for a working couple to support 2 children let alone 10!
I can see how controlling that group is, as they know that having lots of children who will eventually become slaves to their commune will only gain the leaderships wealth and make it more difficult for families to leave.
Thankfully many in there are waking up to the BS they have had forced down their throats since a child.

The govt really needs to step in and shut the whole thing down, those children born into it have no say on their future.

I am a little hesitant to endorse this.
I am reminded of the words of Martin Neimoller speaking of the Nazis.
First they came for the Communists

I think the Gloriavale community should be obliged to give those leaving some financial support, in recognition of their work for the community, sometimes over years or decades.
And if its closed down then any funds should be divided equally & include all those who've left.
