Extended Security Updates program for Win 10 - king1 - 28-07-2025 This is new -  get an extra year of security updates from Microsoft Details are here https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/windows-10-consumer-extended-security-updates-esu-program-33e17de9-36b3-43bb-874d-6c53d2e4bf42 RE: Extended Security Updates program for Win 10 - Oh_hunnihunni - 28-07-2025 Well, I did a bit of exploring inside my 2021 laptop at it seems my Win 10 is the 22 home version eligible for this, but for the life of me I cannot remember my microsoft account password. In fact I have vague memories of having two microsoft accounts and finding sorting that out totally frustrating so abandoned it mid process... So, I am a bit wary of waking the giant again, lol. Damn these monolithic tech beasts. RE: Extended Security Updates program for Win 10 - paulw - 29-07-2025 This I assume is the free version that  requires a MS account??  Does the paid version require aa MS account?? Be a bit rude to force you to sign in with the MS account when they offer that option for free, but hey, this is Microsoft so who knows. also I note in the FAQ it's valid for up to 10 devices.. RE: Extended Security Updates program for Win 10 - Agent_24 - 30-07-2025 I'll take a hundred years of ESU for Windows XP, or I'm staying on Linux. ![]() |
