Desktop Icons - macmar - 14-06-2022 The cat jumped on my laptop keyboard (Windows 10) and now all but about 5 icons have disappeared from my desktop.  'show desktop icons' is ticked, it is not in 'tablet mode' - I cannot get the lost ones back - does anyone have any ideas please? RE: Desktop Icons - king1 - 14-06-2022 what icons are left there macmar? that might give us some clues, and how many in total were there... Presume you checked the recycle bin? If it has a buffer you might have to do that a few times. Probably just need to close everything, click on the desktop somewhere and Ctrl Z to UNDO RE: Desktop Icons - macmar - 14-06-2022 Thank you - I will try that (14-06-2022, 09:41 PM)macmar Wrote: Thank you - I will try thatThey are in Data D -  how do I get them back onto the desktop RE: Desktop Icons - king1 - 14-06-2022 (14-06-2022, 09:41 PM)macmar Wrote: Thank you - I will try thatopen data d in a window  so that you can also see the desktop, then you can just left click, hold, and drag over to the desktop.   either individually or with a multiple file selection https://www.computerhope.com/issues/ch000771.htm RE: Desktop Icons - macmar - 14-06-2022 Oh thank you ever so much - I really appreciate your help.
