The global DNS is what the internet uses to translate web addresses like ÔÇ£fortune.comÔÇØ into the alphanumerical internet protocol (IP) addresses that computers use to communicate (which, in┬á[i]FortuneÔÇÖ[/i]s case, is ÔÇ£2a02:8109:b6bf:45c0:10:18ff:fe41:4794.ÔÇØ)
