Is anyone interested in chatting to single people here? I'm really interested to know how other single people feel about being on their own.
PLEASE NOTE: This is definitely NOT be a 'hookup' club. If you want to chat, that's great, but this is NOT to be an invitation to personally message anyone, unless you are INVITED. We are all adults, so please behave like an adult. And please, NO PERSONAL QUESTIONS. Allow people to offer their personal information if they wish, and not because they have been asked. Please respect each others privacy. Thank you.
~~~~~~~~~
The DFO Club....
Are you single and thriving?
Are you happy on your own?
Do you get lonely?
Are you envious of married friends/family?
Do you feel "whole and complete" as a single person?
So many questions. So many answers.
I shall start off.
I am single, and have been for a long time.
I have been married >>> divorced.
I have lived in sin once, and other than that, nothing much to report.
I wouldn't say that I love being single. I'm ok with it.
I do get tired of coming home to an empty house sometimes.
I doubt I'd ever get married again.
I have a good relationship with my ex husband. He is a good guy.
I also get tired of cooking just for me.
I've gotten lazy over the years.
I'm not always good at taking care of myself.
I do get lonely.
And bored.
I suffer from chronic depression and anxiety. Lucky me. I got the 'double whammy'.
I can easily lose my way, and sometimes I wish there was someone here to carry me through the hard times.
But, I am resilient too. But, I don't always want to be.
Well, that's a start.
Please share, if you wish to. I would love to hear about how other single people feel.
More than a decade after the Pike River mine explosion that killed 29 men, remains of some of the men have been found deep within the mine.
What would be a good solution would be to build rectangular or square houses and build them on floats.
They could be sitting on a gravel bed, be on floats and have mooring posts which the houses could be attached to. They would need to have flexible pipes for the services, but that could easily be allowed for.
That way if there is flooding, the house just floats up a bit. Could have a dinghy as well to get around if the water is too deep.
| Do you 'save things for best'? |
The best china, the best linen, the best silver - it used to be a 'thing' that the lovely stuff, the quality goods were 'saved for best' and the lesser grade used every day. So, when clearing an estate it was quite common to find items still in their wrapping, or carefully stored, pristine and untouched, in chests and cupboards. Then they show up on TradeMe these days, auction houses in the past, clearance sales and the like.
So, do you use the good stuff? Or save it for 'best'?
