This really is disgraceful in the 21st century.
https://tinyurl.com/46xm8s2t
"Police in Nigeria say they have arrested about 200 gay men at an event in southern Delta state.
Sixty-seven of them will now be charged after investigations.
However, most of the men who were paraded in front of journalists on Tuesday said they were not homosexual but fashion designers, photographers and models who had been invited to an event.
One of the men said they had been locked up for days without water and access to their phones.
Police spokesman DSP Bright Edafe said homosexuality would ÔÇ£not be allowed in Nigeria, it will never be toleratedÔÇØ.
ÔÇ£This act is evil and we cannot copy the Western world,ÔÇØ he said."
Oh, really? "Cannot copy the western world?" Then why did Uganda allow right wing Christians to have so much influence there, that Uganda adopted their barbaric, cruel  & ignorant anti gay nonsense??

| Tax cuts or more/better government services |

Broad sweeping tax cuts as National is promising is a tempting bribe, but how far would $14.6b go in improving education, health and other services in NZ. Pharmac could do with a billion or two...
not a bad idea from National as a source of revenue taxing foreign home buyers but I can't help thinking the money would be better spent elsewhere.  if I could get an appointment with my GP earlier than 3 weeks I would save plenty of money not needing to use an after hours service, probably make up for the tax cut.
As it is we will see more cuts to services under National imho...

Which doesn't bode well, surely given his particular views.

"Brian Tamaki says God has given him a vision of how he should run a ÔÇ£disruptÔÇØ campaign that aims to ÔÇ£break apartÔÇØ Parliament and its ÔÇ£lying politiciansÔÇØ.
Tamaki - a church leader turned co-founder of the new Freedoms NZ political party - also told followers Act Party leader David Seymour will be the campaignÔÇÖs next target, raising fears among some that the new party plans to subvert democratic norms in the run up to OctoberÔÇÖs election.
Yesterday, one of Freedoms NZÔÇÖs election candidates climbed onto a 2m-high fence to interrupt Opposition leader Chris LuxonÔÇÖs press conference.
Luxon asked the Freedoms NZ candidate to ÔÇ£be respectfulÔÇØ and talk once the presser had finished.
Prime Minister Chris Hipkins condemned the interruption as an ÔÇ£anti-democraticÔÇØ stunt that aimed to grab publicity by drowning out the ÔÇ£voice of othersÔÇØ and giving the public less chance to hear from politicians ahead of the election.
But Tamaki told church followers during a recent sermon that Freedoms NZ was exercising its ÔÇ£right to protest and speak publiclyÔÇØ.
He said heÔÇÖs ÔÇ£had insight from the spirit worldÔÇØ for his campaign and now tipped more of his party members will ÔÇ£pop upÔÇØ unannounced.
ÔÇ£This could spread right across, down the south and everywhere,ÔÇØ Tamaki said, before referencing Act leader Seymour.
ÔÇ£YouÔÇÖre next David, youÔÇÖre another one that hides the truth.ÔÇØ
That had led him to look up the Latin origins of the English word disruption, where he found it meant to ÔÇ£break apartÔÇØ.
ÔÇ£I love this word disruption, to break apart - break apart this hold they have on our Parliament where the people cannot get their voice in,ÔÇØ he told church followers.
ÔÇ£Break apart that Parliament, break apart the lying politicians, break apart the dominant party spirit that does not allow the people to have a voice or access to their own Parliament.ÔÇØ
Interesting that he's going to target David Seymour - perhaps he's none too keen on the competition.

Spent a bit of time using various utilities to try and reset an iPad that was bricked after someone an elderly person forgot their password and appears to have tried many attempts at logging in.
In the end I found something that worked called 3u tools after having no luck.
Crazy that they lock you out of your device even though I could still get into icloud and theoretically perform a password reset you would think.
Sad thing is there are photos I can never get back for her but I think the iCloud backup might have some of them there.
